Why we are Prince Albert Proud

There are several reasons why were are Prince Albert proud.  We’ve been fortunate to work on major civil engineering projects across Canada so we’ve seen lots of our nation’s cities.  And yet we, our aging parents, most of our adult children and our grand children live right here.  Despite having done major developments in beautiful cities like Moose Jaw, Edmonton and Calgary, we know why we are Prince Albert Proud.

PERFECTLY SITUATED:  CLOSE (BUT NOT TOO CLOSE) TO LARGEST URBAN CENTRE

PA is perfectly situated between nature and urban.  Saskatoon is a sprawling city that’s very busy and fast paced.  It’s nice to visit for urban amenities.  Being so spread out, they have a lot of time consuming traffic.  Nevertheless, if you want to get to the biggest city, the double lane drive there only takes 1.5 hours which makes it easy to access from PA.

PERFECTLY SITUATED:  FAST ACCESS TO LAKE LAND

But Saskatoon residents don’t have fast access to lake land like we do in PA.  In 20 minutes from anywhere in Prince Albert, you can be standing in a lake with your pantlegs rolled up and your shoes in your hands, admiring the treelined views.  Less than a one hour drive from anywhere in PA, you can be entering the province’s beautiful Federal park, Waskesiu.

AFFORDABLE COST OF LIVING

Another reason why we are Prince Albert proud is our cost of living.  Prince Albert housing is way, way more affordable than Saskatoon.   We don’t have traffic congestion and urban sprawl which means we spend way less in gas in our day to day travels.

CITY OF PARKS

There are more reasons why we are Prince Albert Proud.  We love the fact that we are Canada’s most park filled city.  Anywhere you are in PA, you are only 5 minutes away from a greenspace.

OUR FUTURE:  OPPORTUNITIES

We’ll keep this short and give you one more reason why we’re Prince Albert Proud:  our future.  PA is full of opportunities and is growing.  We had the largest growth of all Saskatchewan cities in the 2021 census and we’re just getting started!  Our massive hospital expansion and refurbishment will result in approximately 500 additional jobs!  We have a new, state of the art Aquatic & Arenas Rec Centre!  The City of Prince Albert is working hard to get funding for a Major Event Centre!  The Yard District will have new places to stay, eat, shop and do business!  Our new University of Saskatchewan campus will expand its programming!

BUSTLING, BUSY CENTRE OF COMMERCE

Prince Albert is going to be a bustling, busy centre of commerce and growth and activity with great housing affordability.  More and more people will become Prince Albert Proud.
