Construction Has Started at Victoria Hospital
Construction has started at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert! There have been many months of talk about it. We’ve recently seen a new parking lot get built just North of the original parking lot. However, it feels very real now that there are two cranes towering behind our hospital. This is the view from that new parking lot as you face South towards the hospital:
Similarly, this is the view as you come up 10th Avenue West and the back of the hospital comes into view on your right:
It’s actually kind of awe inspiring.
This is such good news for Prince Albert and the whole top half of the province that we serve. Saskatchewan will have 3 tertiary hospitals and PA will have one of them. There won’t be a need to travel to Saskatoon for medical appointments anymore. In fact, will people in the North end of Saskatoon want to come to PA because they’ve got a better chance of getting in? It’ll be interesting to see!
These two cranes are a very real reminder that construction has started at Victoria Hospital. This is just one of the many positive developments happening in our little city right now. Prince Albert is developing and growing. This is great news for the young people and families that call this community home. It’s also good because it will help attract and retain the workforce talent we need. In conclusion, Prince Albert needs to be competitive and attractive and this will certainly help.
The Boreal Healthcare Foundation is working hard to help our newly expanded and refurbished hospital pay for all of the new equipment and furnishings it will need. Prince Albert and the top half of Saskatchewan thanks you!
