In my radio chat with Lew he said that nine years of planning is a long time! Lew’s a busy man.  He couldn’t believe how long the partners of Signature Developments have been working on The Yard Entertainment and Business District.  

It’s been over nine years now that the families have been talking about doing something huge to stimulate growth in the city where their families have been proud to live, work and play for decades. 

For the rest of us driving by, it seems like things are happening in The Yard so quickly.  But for Rusty, Gord, Kenny, and Jayson, it feels like a lot longer.  They have been talking about this and planning it out for close to a decade.

As Lew said, he knows that the families like to quietly give back to our community.  The partners are the kinds of guys that put their jeans on, put their work boots on, put their heads down and get things done.  They’ve given back to many of our sociable, fun entertainment and meeting places here in Prince Albert. 

The families believe in community and family.  So, creating an entertainment and business district makes sense.  This will be another place to meet with friends and family for a fun outing.

Things have taken a nine long years to get to this point for the families.  But things are happening fast now!  You only have to drive down Marquis Road to see how quickly The Yard is taking shape.
