What People Say About PA is Changing
What People Say About PA is Changing. The messaging around Prince Albert, and in other cities in our province, is getting more and more positive. Here in the city itself, more businesses and organizations are using hashtags like #opportunitiespask #futurepask #strongpask #proudpask #livingpask #growingpask and #cityofparkspask.
There are several reasons why what people say about PA is changing both in the city and in the province. Let’s talk about why it’s happening now.
On the Cusp of a Boom
Everyone is now aware that we are on the cusp of an economic boom. More and more people are talking about all of the positive developments in the city. When Cadmus Delorme last spoke in Prince Albert in May of 2023, he even mentioned PA’s economic boom and he lives down South close to Regina! Word is getting out. You can read what PANow wrote about it just last year:

Highest Growth
It came as a surprise to many that our two largest cities did not have the highest growth in the last census. PA did. The last census was conducted in 2021 and Prince Albert had the highest growth at just under 6%. We believe this has to do with affordability, opportunities, and being at the beginning of lake country.
Standing up for our City
More people are standing up for this city and talking about its good points. Prince Albert has the second largest urban park in North America. Little Red is just one of our many green spaces. PA has the most green space of all cities in the country. Little old PA is Canada’s Most Park Filled City. But don’t take our word for it. Check out what Travel Industry Today had to say about it:

Social concerns have increased every city in Canada. You just have to read the news to see that both Regina and Saskatoon have sure seen their share. PA also has social problems but ours are actually decreasing. We have a Federally funded Community Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator who is aligning all of our local nonprofits so they all work together to reduce social problems. A reasonably new position, this will start to show results in our city soon. PA is the only city in Saskatchewan to have this position.

It’s Changing.
It’s exciting to drive down Marquis Road and see fresh and new development happening.
Last year, Lew Harrison on Beach fm Radio was talking about all the positive development in PA. He said, “Our city is growing up” and it’s true. There’s a sense of excitement and opportunity. These are some of the reasons why what people say about PA is changing.
