There are reasons to have PA Positivity and be Prince Albert Proud. 

Like the other large cities in our province, there’s no denying that we have social issues.  But in Prince Albert, some people try to define us by those social issues.  You see this on social media. “That’s PA for you” some will say in a comment on a negative news story.  But it’s not!  You can read a news story in a different Saskatchewan city about the exact same social issue on the same day.

In other cities, most people define themselves by the things their city has to offer.  Other cities choose to be positive and proud.  So can we. 

Why have PA positivity and be Prince Albert proud?

We’re a great size.  The larger cities in our province have traffic congestion that doesn’t exist here. 

We live close to nature everyday.  In the bigger cities, it’s harder to get away.  We have greenspaces everywhere in our city within a 5 minute walk.  The 2nd largest urban park in North America is a 6 minute drive away.  Lakeland starts just 20 minutes from our city’s centre.

You can visit the biggest city anytime you like but you don’t have to live there.  We have  close access to the biggest city in the province but we can get  back to our quieter, more laid back way of life the same day.

And soon, we’ll have The Yard district.  Benefits of the district would include attracting new working professionals, more tourist attractions and less travel for Prince Albert families to drive to other centres for sports and other entertainment.
