We have a chance to change the narrative of PA because of 3 ‘groundbreaking developments’ but the ones I’m going to talk about today might surprise you.
The First One:
The first ground breaking development is what you might expect. It’s the breaking of ground in The Yard in 2021 by the 3 local families that joined together to form Signature Developments. The Yard entertainment and shopping district will give us big city amenities. We’re going to need these big city amenities to keep all of our current and new families busy, healthy, and happy. New families? More on that down the road.
The Second One:
The second ground breaking development was actually an announcement. in 2022, We found out that Prince Albert has been designated the greenest, most park filled city in all of Canada. Not Vancouver. Or Victoria. Not Niagara-on-the-Lake. Us. Did you know our Little Red is the 2nd largest urban park in all of North America? That’s not even counting our Rotary Trail. We are Canada’s most park filled city. Honestly, we can never talk about this fantastic designation enough.
The Third one:
The third ground breaking development was another announcement. In 2023, we found out that the city of Prince Albert will be receiving $1.1 million for Chronic Risk Solutions Coordination. This is a game changer. We have a chance to build on the research of Dr Chad Nilson, align our major non-profits, and get them all pulling in the same direction, on the same community social issue, at the same time! Imagine the difference to our city if our non-profits all pull together and mobilize to one common goal at a time.
We have a chance to change the narrative of PA! Big city amenities to so we maximize entertainment and leisure activities for our current families and new families. A brand for our city that’s unique in the province. A chance to make a difference like never before in our community social impact and therefore a difference to our city. This perfect trio of ground breaking developments is a reason to be #princealbertproud.
